Inaugural Students’ Research Symposium NSRSIT 2024

NSBM Faculty of Computing achieved a significant milestone on 19th July 2024 with its inaugural Students’ Research Symposium – NSRSIT 2024. The symposium showcased student research supervised by academic staff, providing an invaluable opportunity for the students to enhance their research skills and publish papers at local & and international conferences and journals.

NSRSIT 2024 featured a keynote speech delivered by Prof. Lasith Gunawardena, Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event was graced by Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance; Dr. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Computing; Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduates Studies; Prof. Noel Fernando, Senior Lecturer – Faculty of Computing; Dr. Mohamed Shafraz, Head of Department of Software Engineering & Symposium Chair; Ms. Thisarani Wickmarasinghe, Symposium Secretary and other faculty members, presenters and students.
